I must stress that this is a test for the Firefox blogging plugin ScribeFire and therefore some formatting may be unusual. I take that back — formatting was perfect!

ScribeFire is a plugin for Firefox which will turn the popular web browser into an editor for boggers. ScribeFire supports many blogging services including; LiveJournal, Tumblr, Xanga and MySpace. Many blogging platforms such as WordPress, Moveable Type and Drupal, are supported too.

ScribeFire, an extension of Firefox ®, enables users to easily drag and drop formatted text from the Web into their blog(s), post entries, take notes, and optimize their ad inventory, directly through the Firefox browser.

Apple to Release iTunes 8 and New iPod Nano?

Magnetosphere iTunes VisualiserThere are a number of rumors rumours about Apple iTunes and the possibility of a redesigned iPod Nano and changes to the rest of the iPod range. Most of these rumours have little supportive evidence and seem to be gathering the usual Apple hype that is usually generated ahead of an ‘Apple Event’.

Having said this the release of iTunes 8 and changes to the iPod range are likely. However, a totally redesigned iPod Nano seems less feasible.

Twitter Client with Fluid and Hahlo and Growl

This is a great tip for Apple Mac users who utlise the microblogging service, Twitter. It is a fairly simple way of creating a client for Twitter which is accessible from the Apple menu bar (as a menu item). The method uses Hahlo that is intended for use with Apple iPhone which makes this ‘hack’ notable for its creative use of software that is freely available.

Initial Thoughts About Google New Web Browser

Google Chrome web browser iconGoogle have released their web browser software as a Beta to get an early opinion from users. As soon as the news was announced I sighed while thinking that there is yet another web browser to test. Does the world need another browser? If it means that there are less Internet Explorer users then yes. However, Chrome is based on the WebKit so if your site works in Apple Safari everything will be fine — webmasters should be glad of that at least.
