This is a project that could lead to a flurry of automatic Twittering device hacks. How about a kettle that announces that it has boiled via Twitter, or perhaps a toaster, washing machine…

Thankfully the article mentions Apple's web browser, Safari, which already has this feature. I've been using Internet Explorer 8 Beta for a few weeks, now I can't use it at all - it just crashes.
This seems to have something to do with the Google Toolbar. IE8 keeps asking me to install the latest version of the Google Toolbar but simply will not let me.
Perhaps I should write to the development team about this particular incompatibility issue.
