Aviary, Online Apps for Creatives

This looks like a very interesting project and I’m awaiting my invitation to become a beta tester.

Aviary offers an impressive array of web based applications including; image and vector editors, desktop publishing, music creation and sound editing.

These apps are usable for any computer and browser that has Adobe Flash 9 installed. Some can also be downloaded for use offline, these will require Adobe AIR. At the moment the software collection is still in Beta testing but once public I imagine that this suite is going to immensely popular.

From the Aviary website FAQ:

“Aviary is a website for artists of all genres to create, edit and share their works directly in their favorite browser.

“We currently allow beta testers to try out Phoenix, our image editor. We will be releasing our other applications shortly, as well as an API for third parties to build additional applications onto.”
